Frequently Asked Questions
Summer: Forward (Counter Clockwise)
Winter: Reverse (Clockwise)
For most Casablanca fans made around 2010 and newer, the model and serial number are usually found on top of the fan body. On many older fans, they were commonly located on the motor.
A fan that is too big for your room may look awkward. A fan that is too small probably will not move enough air. Blade span is key. Here are some basic recommendations:
• For rooms up to 225 square feet (15' x 15) and larger, use a fan with a blade span of 50", 54", or 56".
• In rooms up to 144 square feet (12' × 12') we recommend fans with a blade span of 42" or 44".
• Smaller rooms up to 64 square feet (8' × 8') should use a fan with a 32" blade span.
Troubleshoot issues:
Check batteries in the remote and ensure proper installation.
Turn off power to the fan for 30 seconds, then turn it back on and try syncing the remote again.
For pull chain fans, ensure the pull chains are properly connected and functioning.
If the light works but the fan doesn't, the switch or circuit board might be faulty.

Your model number helps us narrow down the correct replacement parts for your fan. Casablancamade many fan models with different controls, light kits, and glass options, so the model number is the best place to start.
Many Casablanca fans came with several different light fixture and glass options, even within thesame fan family. A photo helps us identify the exact part you need so you do not order the wrong item.
Sometimes, but not always. In many cases we also need a photo of your current light kit, glass, wall control, or remote so we can confirm the correct replacement.
No. Replacement parts vary by model, age, light kit style, finish, wall control type, and internal electronics. That is why it is important to match parts to your specific fan.
Yes, many older Casablanca fans can still be repaired. We service legacy Casablanca fans and also offer factory service options for customers outside the local in-home service area.
In many cases, yes. Some legacy parts are still available, but quantities may be limited depending on the model and part type. Photos and model information help us check availability.
It is strongly recommended, especially for glass, light kits, remotes, wall controls, and electronic parts. This helps make sure the part is correct before you place the order.
For Stealth legacy fans, the recommended solution is the Stealth Retro-Fit Glass & Pan Replacement kit.
The Stealth retrofit kit includes the glass, light pan, and LED disc bulb. The bulb is a 16W LED and provides bright, energy-efficient light.
Yes. The retrofit kit is designed to fit all Stealth legacy fans.
No. The retrofit conversion requires all parts in the kit to be used together. The glass will not fit the old-style light pan by itself.
Because the new retrofit glass is designed to work with the replacement light pan included in the kit. The older light pan is not compatible with the retrofit glass.
Yes. Some paint chipping may occur because of the new drilled holes, but it should not show once the kit is installed.
Yes. Parts that require instructions include them, and there is also an instructional video available.
Yes. We provide a video showing how to replace the Stealth Retro-Fit Glass & Pan kit.
First check the batteries and make sure they are installed correctly. Then turn power off to the fan for about 30 seconds, restore power, and try syncing the remote again.
Try replacing the batteries, power-cycling the fan, and re-syncing the remote. If that does not solve the problem, the issue may be with the receiver board, wall switch, or another electronic component.
Yes. Sending in the switch for testing can help confirm whether the switch or receiver board is actually causing the issue before you buy new parts.
Yes. A faulty receiver board can sometimes damage replacement switches, which is why testing is recommended first.
Inteli-Touch is Casablanca’s electronic control system that manages fan speed, light dimming, reverse, and programmable features through a wall control.
Turn the power off for at least three seconds, turn it back on, and immediately press FAN, LIGHT, FAN, LIGHT, FAN. The fan will confirm and begin the demo cycle.
Press the FAN button briefly to turn the fan on or off. Press and hold the FAN button for more than one second to cycle through the speed settings.
Press the LIGHT button briefly to turn the light on or off. Press and hold the LIGHT button for more than one second to adjust brightness.
Use the reverse function while the fan is powered on. The fan will slow down, stop, and then reverse direction.
Light-Minder automatically turns the fan-mounted lights off after two hours if they are left on.
Safe-Exit leaves the light on briefly after you turn it off so you can leave the room safely.
Home-Safe automatically cycles the light on and off in a pattern so the home appears occupied while you are away.
Fan-Minder gradually reduces the fan speed over time, which can be helpful overnight as the room cools down.
Yes. Turning the power off for at least three seconds clears the fan memory and allows you to restart programming or enter special modes.
The best way is to send us your fan model number along with a clear photo of your current light fixture or broken glass. This helps us match the correct shape and mounting style.
Sometimes yes, but not always. It depends on the model and the exact light pan or fitter your fan uses. On Stealth legacy fans, the retrofit glass must be used with the matching retrofit pan.
Possibly. Compatibility depends on the model and whether a matching light kit or fitter is available for your fan. Contact us with your model number and photos so we can confirm.
This may be caused by a bad bulb, faulty switch, receiver board, or another control-related issue. If one function works and the other does not, the problem may be in the switch or circuit board.
If the light works but the fan does not, the issue may be with the switch, control board, or internal electronics.
Yes. Parts that require installation instructions include them.
Start with the basics: check the remote batteries, turn power off to the fan for about 30 seconds, turn it back on, and try syncing the remote again. If it is a pull-chain model, also check that the pull chains are functioning properly.
Make sure the pull chains are connected properly and operating as they should. If the problem continues, there may be an internal electrical issue that needs repair.
Noise is often caused by loose screws, canopy hardware, blade screws, glass hardware, or internal wiring contact. A good first step is to inspect for anything loose before replacing parts.
Not always. Wobble can be caused by loose hardware, installation alignment, or blade issues. It does not automatically mean the motor is bad.
That can point to a control issue, wall switch issue, receiver problem, or internal electronic component failure. Contact us before ordering parts so we can help identify the most likely cause.
Because the first failed part is not always the only failed part. Testing helps identify the real issue and can save time and money.
Yes. We offer factory repair services and help with many Casablanca fan and control issues.
Yes. You can mail in your remote for testing and repair service.
